Can You Hear Me?

We got on a call with strangers to talk about creativity, connection, and the roles that the arts & humanities play in our daily lives.

Why did we make this?

The Mellon Foundation creates custom content for National Arts & Humanities Month each year. For this iteration, we wanted to demystify the humanities by asking everyday people about how the humanities show up in their lives. We transformed the man-on-the-street interview style into a series of phone call interviews on the High Line in New York City.

Production Process

As co-Producer of the series, I created the idea to host the interviews via phone call, capturing the participants in a casual, yet intimate setting. Together with the team, we scripted questions, shot the interviews, and edited them down to the final, short-form videos for social media.
