Raised in Houston, Texas, Nadia Halim is a freelance dance artist, marketing manager, and creative direction consultant based in New York City.

Nadia studied at The High School for Performing and Visual Arts. In 2019, she graduated Cum Laude from Barnard College, Columbia University with a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in Sociology.

Throughout the years, Nadia has had the privilege of performing works by Sasha Waltz, Shannon Gillen, Yin Yue, Loni Landon, Jennifer Archibald, David Dorfman, Kevin Wynn, Colleen Thomas-Young, Caitlin Trainor, Zachary Tang, Parijat Desai, and Elizabeth Dishman.

Nadia has studied at various intensives and festivals including BODYTRAFFIC, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Ailey School, Boston Conservatory, VIM VIGOR, Perry Mansfield Performing Arts Camp, A.I.M, USF Dance in Paris, b12 in Berlin, and Orsolina28.

She has danced and guested with companies such as Colleen Thomas Dance, dishman + co., Parijat Desai, cullen + them, BITEdown Collective, DJM Collective, and The Moving Orchestra.

As a choreographer, Nadia created an evening-length production titled work of body, which premiered in 2019 at The Movement Lab, a space for experimentation at the intersection of dance, performance, and technology. 

She is an alumna of the Diversity in Arts Leadership Program by the Arts & Business Council of NY and was selected as an Athena Summer Fellow by Athena Center for Leadership Studies.

Nadia is currently the Marketing Manager at The Joyce Theater in New York City.
